Elings Flight Park DirectionsCall us in advance at 805-968-0980 to arrange a meet time. For places to stay, check out our Directions and Lodging page. Contact us for more information. The Eagle Paragliding training facility is located at Elings Park, in Santa Barbara, California. The park is a couple miles South of Highway 101 and the Las Positas freeway exit. Santa Barbara is West of Carpinteria, and East of Goleta. The drive from the Los Angeles area is 90-120 minutes. We usually meet at the top of the training hill. Take left turns all the way to the top of the hill. See the map above for more help. From Los Angeles(South) - Take the 101 Ventura freeway North. Continue through Ventura and Carpinteria. Continue on the 101 until you see the Las Positas Exit. Exit Las Positas, and turn left(South). Follow Las Positas until it comes to a T-Intersection, this is Cliff Drive, make a left here. The gate entrance to the flight park will be a paved road a few hundred yards up on your left. Take a left turn here, and take left turns all the way to the top of the hill. Look for the white Eagle Paragliding van. From the North - Take the 101 freeway South. Continue through Gaviota and Goleta. Continue on the 101 until you see the Las Positas Exit. Exit Las Positas, and turn right(South). Follow Las Positas until it comes to a T-Intersection, this is cliff Drive, make a left here. The gate entrance to the flight park will be a paved road a few hundred yards up on your left. Take a left turn here, and take left turns all the way to the top of the hill. Look for the white Eagle Paragliding van. From Santa Ynez - Take San Marcos Pass(154) to the 101 South and exit Las Positas. Turn right on Las Positas(South), Follow Las Positas until it comes to a T-Intersection, this is cliff Drive, make a left here. The gate entrance to the flight park will be a paved road a few hundred yards up on your left. Take a left turn here, and take left turns all the way to the top of the hill. Look for the white Eagle Paragliding van. |
