#1 year round paraglider park in the USAWe are fortunate to have one of the premiere paragliding training facilities in the United States. Elings Park is a private park which receives no city, state, or federal funding. Pilots pay daily $5, monthly $20, or yearly $65 membership fees to use the park for kiting and flying. We encourage everyone to pay the $65 yearly membership fee. Your membership helps support the park and lets the park know there is a healthy pilot population who utilizes this valuable flying resource. Signing up for the yearly membership makes things easier on your instructor as well. When you pay for the year we don't have to continue to collect and keep records of each time you visit. If you use the training hill at Elings Park 13 times in one year you have paid for the yearly membership. The yearly membership cannot be prorated, but you can prorate the current year if you pay for the next. There must an instructor present for pilots to use the park for ground handling and flying activities. Be sure to check the Eagle Daily Schedule on the web site, or give a call to see if there is activity at the hill on any given day. Pilots who do not have a current USHPA card are not allowed to fly (no exceptions). Only instructors approved by the park liaison can instruct at Elings Park. Elings Flight Park is the lifeline of paragliding and hang gliding on the South Coast. Need Direction to Elings Park? Read about the History of Elings Park.
